Course Summary: This course provides an introduction to federal income taxation for individuals and businesses, offering a comprehensive overview of the importance of tax considerations in both business and personal decisions. Topics covered will include financial statement analysis, income, deductions, credits, depreciation, and allocations. By the end of the course, you will learn how to obtain a PTIN (Preparer's Tax ID Number), allowing you to become a tax preparer under IRS regulations. The PTIN is obtained at no cost from the IRS, and it does not require a SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. If you don't have an ITIN, we will guide you on how to obtain one during the course. Once you have your credentials, clients or your employer will know that you have proven knowledge of the tax code and how to prepare an individual's taxes.
